Major Atom A, HAWKS LL, 2017-2018, Rep (Innisfil Minor Hockey)

The players didn't want the season to end, so we ended up the last team to sign up for the East Gwillimbury Dunsmuir Memorial Tournament.  The team wrapped up the 2017-18 season with five more wins, and an exciting 2-1 final over the Whitby Wildcats Blue.  Early in the third Furiano took a point shot that was tipped in by Leblanc that proved to be the difference.  Thanks to players, coaches and parents for a season we will never forget - 59 wins and a lifetime of memories.  Best of luck to all at the upcoming tryouts.

After 34 regular season and OMHA Playdown wins, the Atom A Winterhawks fell short of the red hats to a talented and experienced St. Thomas Stars team.  I could not be more proud of our players in the way they handled themselves, and in the never give up attitude they displayed right until the final buzzer.  The team will wrap up what has been a memorable season in East Gwillimbury this weekend at the Dunsmuir Memorial tournament.

The Atom A Winterhawks spent Christmas in Brampton at the seven team Regional Silver Stick qualifier.  The team has been looking forward to the opportunity to get back to the International tournament since January.  The Winterhawks had a goal differential of 24-4 over the four games, defeating the Erin Hillsburgh Devils 6-0 in the Final.  The heart, determination, and teamwork these players continue to display is amazing.  Pack your bags team, we are heading to Sarnia for the International Silver Stick in less than two weeks !

The Atom A Winterhawks travelled to Kingston to participate in the ten team Kingston Canadians Tournament.  The families all enjoyed each others company and the great fall weather and atmosphere in downtown Kingston.  On the ice, the players continue to roll, going 6-0 over the weekend and defeating Napanee 3-0 in the Final.  Congratulations Team, you are a treat to Coach and I can't wait for the rest of our season together ! "WHAT WE BELIEVE, WE WILL ACHIEVE"

The Atom A Winterhawks travelled to the Niagara Region to participate in the Garden City Early Bird Tournament this weekend.  The tournament featured twelve teams from across the OMHA and Alliance.  The boys battled hard all weekend going undefeated, beating Fort Erie 3-2 in the Final.   Congratulations team on a fantastic start to the season !
