U9 Local League Team 1 Wins Niagara Falls Breakaway Tournament!
What an incredible story of resilience and grit! A huge congratulations to U9 Local League Team 1 on their championship win at the Niagara Falls Breakaway Tournament this past weekend.

Led by Coach Jeremy Lee, the team demonstrated unwavering determination, overcoming major deficits in both their must-win round robin game and the championship final.

In the decisive round robin matchup, the Hawks found themselves down 3-0, but they refused to quit. With just four minutes left, they battled back to tie the game and then buried the game-winner with 45 seconds to go—an unbelievable comeback!

Then, in the championship game, down 3-1 in the third period, the team once again showed their heart, rallying to tie the game and force overtime. In true championship fashion, the Hawks struck quickly in OT to claim the tournament title!

With their never-give-up attitude and relentless work ethic, U9 LL Team 1 truly earned the nickname “The Comeback Kids.” Congratulations to the players, coaches, and families on an incredible tournament run!
