OMHA Referee School is now accepting Registration for 2022-2023 Season.

2022 OMHA REFEREE SCHOOLS

The Ontario Minor Hockey Association (OMHA) in partnership with Force Sports, will once again host the OMHA Referee Schools to train and mentor new officials. With the introduction of a new format this year, there will be four schools:

SCHOOL OBJECTIVES:

  • To teach the methods and procedures of officiating in both the 2 and 3 official systems
  • To instruct uniform interpretation of the rules
  • To provide each official with on-ice sessions to acquaint them with the duties of the referee and linesmen
  • To provide each official with an opportunity to improve overall officiating performance
  • To learn effective communication strategies and techniques
 

PARTICIPANT INFORMATION

 

  • All school functions will be alcohol free. The Liquor License Act will be enforced in all school facilities
  • Successful completion of the School Program will provide the participant with Hockey Canada/OMHA registration & qualification for the coming season
