IMHA Tryout Procedures
Submitted By Innisfil Minor Hockey on Tuesday, September 14, 2021
Tryouts for IMHA begins Wednesday September 22nd for AA teams and Saturday September 25th for A teams. Tryout dates and times can be found on the Innisfil Minor Hockey Association website Innisfil Minor Hockey.

Please note the IMHA U11 and U12 teams will be playing in the AA loop this season. There will be no A teams for U11 or U12.

Tryout registration is now open.

Innisfil Residents – Pre registered

Innisfil residents may register and pay for tryouts when they register for the regular season. If you registered and paid for tryouts when you registered for the regular season no further action is required. You may show up on the first night of tryouts and sign in at the main table.

Innisfil Residents – Not registered or playing LL or HL in another centre

All Innisfil residents regardless of where they choose to play Local League or House League are eligible to try out for IMHA rep Hockey.

Players are not required to register for the season with the IMHA prior to tryouts in order to tryout, but they are required to pre-register for tryouts at the link below.

The cost of tryouts will be $100 and includes a practice jersey to be used during tryouts and a guarantee of 2 skates. Payment can be made in cash at the tryouts.

If invited to join an IMHA rep team players are required to register with the IMHA within 48hrs of signing an acceptance letter.

NRP Players

The IMHA will be accepting NRP passports for the 2021-2022 hockey season.

In order for a player to use an NRP passport in Innisfil they must be coming from a centre that does not provide rep hockey at the A level and Innisfil Minor Hockey must be written on their NRP card as the centre they will be declaring they are trying out for.

Even though the U12 team is playing at the AA level they are still considered an A centre. Players who have NRP cards from AA rep centres that do not offer A hockey may try out for the U12 AA team as NRP’s.

The cost of tryouts will be $100 and includes a practice jersey to be used during tryouts and a guarantee of 2 skates. Payment can be made in cash at the tryouts, or may be made electronically by e-transfer to [email protected] (When paying by e-transfer please ensure you put your child’s name and Division in the subject line.  Please ensure you bring a copy of your payment receipt to the tryout to enable faster processing.

If you have any further questions or concerns please contact the Director of Rep Hockey or the Director of Coaching and they will be happy to help you.

Thank You and good luck in tryouts and the coming season.
