THE TRYOUTS ARE COMING, THE TRYOUTS ARE COMING....
Submitted By Innisfil Minor Hockey on Wednesday, September 1, 2021
To say it has been an eventful year and a half would be a huge understatement. Hockey has been anything but normal during that time, but the IMHA and OMHA are happy to start back on the path to normalcy.

It is with great enthusiasm and excitement that the IMHA can announce that the PTS (Permission to Skate) forms have been released and that the NRP (Non Resident Player) passports are soon to follow.

FAQ

Q: When are Tryouts?

A: The IMHA tryouts will be posted on our website ASAP, please keep an eye out for the tryouts.

The OMHA and York Simcoe Minor Hockey have provided a guideline for the potential start dates for the September tryouts, this is an approximation of start dates and actual start dates may vary, please keep an eye on the IMHA website for our exact start dates:

AAA Evaluations Start (September 10th, 2021)

AA U12 to U18 Evaluations Start (September 17th, 2021)

AA U8 to U11 Evaluations Start (September 20th, 2021)

A U12 to U18 Evaluations Start (September 24th, 2021)

A U8 to U11 Evaluations Start (September 27th, 2021)

Q: When are the AAA and AA tryouts?

A: If you are interested in trying out for AAA or AA you will need to get details from the centre you are interested in. They will post there tryouts on there websites.

Q: I live in Innisfil and I want to try out for AAA what do I do?

A: First you will need a PTS Form. As an Innisfil resident your first stop for AAA tryouts is Barrie. Innisfil is part of the Barrie Colts AAA zone. There are exceptions, U14 to U16 players may try out for any OMHA AAA team.

Q: How do I get a PTS (Permission To Skate) form?

A: Fill in the "PTS/NRP application" form located at the bottom of this announcement and wait to be contacted by the Director of Rep Hockey from the IMHA for directions on pick up.

Q: I live in Innisfil and I want to try out for AA what do I do?

A: Every Innisfil player is entitled to one (1) NRP card that can be used once. When you fill in your "PTS/NRP application" you must indicate which AA centre you are trying out for. No additional cards will be issued. If you request a AA NRP passport you are not entitled to a BB NRP passport.

Q: I live in Innisfil and I want to try out for BB what do I do?

A: Every Innisfil player is entitled to one (1) NRP card that can be used once. When you fill in your "PTS/NRP application" you must indicate which BB centre you are trying out for. No additional cards will be issued. If you request a AA NRP passport you are not entitled to a BB NRP passport.

Q: I heard Bradford will have a AA team at my age, can I try out there?

A: No, Bradford (and Innisfil) are base A centres. This means that all their teams are A level teams, even the ones playing at AA. These teams have received a one year allowance that permits them to play at AA for the upcoming season, this does not change there base level.

Q: I heard that teams are able to take unlimited NRP players this season.

A: No. Each AA team and A team is only permitted to take 3 NRP players. BB teams have a series of events that could permit them to take additional NRP players but this is not automatic and requires they qualify.

Q: I live in Barrie and would like to play A hockey in Innisfil, what do I do?

A: If your current home centre (Barrie, Bradford, etc.) offers A hockey you can not try out in another centre that offers A hockey.
