Atom Local League Tournament dedicated to Kyle Sturtridge and Family!
The Atom Local League team was successful in the recent Lefroy tournament! They lost their first game but refocused and went on to win the next two games to with the C Division championship!!!
They had to dig deep in the championship game to win a shootout victory against the Lefroy 2 team! The coaches, parents and kids are all proud of their hard work and dedication this season as they work toward a strong finish!
The team would like to dedicate this tournament win to Kyle Sturtridge and his family as they mourn the loss of his father during the tournament.
Kyle's father passed away in the hospital near the end of the Lefroy tournament. Kyle left after the game and before this picture was taken. Kyle did not know that his father had passed until after the game. Although his father could not be there we are sure he was proud of his son to play a great tournament through these tough times.
The Atom Local League team, coaches and parents as well as the entire IMHA send out warm wishes and condolences to Kyle and the Sturtridge family as they mourn and celebrate the life of Chris Sturtridge.
