Bob Black Memorial Tournament
The Innisfil Winterhawks Tyke 2 team headed to Oshawa for another fun, exciting weekend of hockey participating in the Bob Black Memorial Tournament.
Tyke 2 lost their 1st game 2-1 on Friday Feb 13 to Fort Henry, followed by 2 wins against Woodville & Essa on Saturday. Our final game played Sunday Feb 15 for winner of the "B" division was played against no other then Innisfil's Tyke 1 team. Both teams played hard, but it was Tyke 2 that skated off as the winners in a very close game 2-1.
I would like to thank coaches and players for another great weekend of hockey, and even more so to the parents who made it happen for their children. It was a pleasure getting to know everyone a little more and watching the children making friends that ultimately could last a life time.
